When referenced in films, TV, or social media, or pop culture, it's more often a hot tub we hear about than the more sophisticated sounding spa. If athletes are captured on social media cavorting after hours, it's in a hot tub, not a spa. Remember the old sketches on Saturday Night Live with Will Ferrell and Rachel Dratch as the "hot tub luh-vahs"? They often hung out at the Welshley Arms Motel's hot tub, where they would harass other guests with their psuedo-intellectual conversations and disgusting meat snacks. And the film Hot Tub Time Machine would never have had the same appeal as Spa Time Machine. Deep stuff to ponder next time you soak in your hot tub. Or spa.
Hot tubbing can include more than just some good company and hot water. Accessories can turn the whole experience into a more comfortable, more entertaining party. Hard-shell hot tubs often come with a host of accessories, like cup holders, lighting, sound systems and more. With this top pick, you will have a few additions to include when you want more from your hot tubbing experience.

Since the BestWay company was founded in 1994, it has delivered top-tier sporting and leisure products, making a name for itself on a very competitive market. Probably the most impressive one they have offered to their already loyal base of customers is the SaluSpa Hawaii HydroJet Pro, a tub that has impressed with its amazing capabilities and affordable price tag. The main objectives of this brand when manufacturing and distributing their high-quality tubs are the satisfaction of customers and the protection of the environment.

A growing trend in the UK, hot tubs are popping up in more back gardens than ever. They’re a great alternative to a pool if you don’t have the space, or if you simply want somewhere to sit and relax or exercise in any weather. The choice people face once they decide they want the luxury of a hot tub, however, is whether they want a permanent tub or an inflatable one.

One thing to note about the Bestway Miami is that, unlike other inflatable hot tubs in this list, the Miami has bubble jets around only three quarters of the inside cirumference. This means there is a section inside the hot tub where there are no direct bubbles. You still get water swirling around you. Just no direct contact with the bubble jets. On the upside, some customers say this is a good thing. Having a section with no direct bubbles caters for those that don't like bubbles, or can give you a break from them without getting out.
As it can fit up to 6 adults in it at once, you will have great parties if you opt for it. It features a total of 114 air jets that provide a soothing, relaxing massage while you are inside the tub. The maximum water temperature that can be reached is 104 degrees Fahrenheit. One of its most spectacular features is the timer-controlled heating system that ensures an energy efficient operation, thus the electric bills not skyrocketing as a result of you using the tub.
The pump has an air blower, which provides air for the tub’s 120 bubble jets. The air blower can also be used to inflate the tub during setup, and it includes a pressure gauge to help you avoid overinflating the tub. The valves built into the tub should let you inflate it easily, and they prevent air from escaping when you disconnect the hose. A specialized tightening wrench is included in the package, which lets you tighten the valve setting to prevent growing leaks over time.
The maximum heat capacity is 104°F, and it uses 120 bubble jets and 4 massage jets to provide an amazing hydro massage. It boasts an impressive 210-gallon water capacity, and it has a flow rate of 460 gallons per hour. It heats the water by 2-3°F per hour. The important features are the easy-to-use digital control panel, the water filtration system, the hard water treatment system, the salt water system, and the comfortably cushioned floor.
When you buy an inflatable hot tub the usual option is for bubble jet massage only. This SaluSpa Hawaii HydroJet offers that too and it also offers 8 adjustable water jets so that you can have the water jet directed at a certain part of your body for a more direct water massage. If you work in a physical job or spend the day bent over a computer and you come home needing help to get the knots out of your muscles, relaxing in the Hawaii can ease your muscle aches and the jets can get to specific places. The water jets are easily selected from the control panel while you are in the tub. The water jets aren’t as noisy as the bubble jets and they don’t cause as much heat loss from the water as you get from using the bubbles.
Another drawback to certain models of inflatable hot tubs is the location of the filter or filters. While many models place the filter right inside the heater/pump unit for quick access, some models place the filters along the bottom inner portion of the spa, so changing them becomes a much more involved process than just opening the pump unit and popping in a new filter.
The Canadian Spa Company is one of the most renowned and respected brands on the market. In 2015, this global brand has even won the Best of Class Award, this title being deserved due to the high-end hot tubs that they have delivered to customers. For over 30 years, they have managed to bring joy to those looking for great-performing hot tubs at fair prices. As time has passed, this brand has focused on innovation and quality, this being the main reason why they have managed to provide impressive tubs like the top of the line CSCHTRG29 Rio Grande.

The most important feature that you have to look for when making this type of a purchase is for it to come with a water filtration system. If the tub you lay your eyes on comes with this feature, you can rest assured that the water will be clean and fresh at all times. This means that your health won’t be put in danger when using it and that you won’t have to change the water as often either.
You can use inflatable hot tubs both indoors and outdoors, but whatever you decide, you need to make sure you have sufficient space for the one you decide on buying. The up side is that you can install it anywhere, whether in your laundry room (space permitting), on the patio, your deck, or even on your lawn. Where you put it is up to you, so long as the area is level. Because they are portable, you can even change your location.
It’s designed to be easy to set up, and it comes with a cover, spa pump, chemical floater, repair patch and two filter cartridges. The Realtree design on the outside of the hot tub helps it blend in with your backyard, while the mosaic print inside makes it feel more like a traditional hot tub. The MAX-5 measures 71 x 71 x 26 inches. Its interior floor is insulated and padded, while I-Beam construction provides sturdy support. There is a built-in water filtration system and an automatic start/stop timer, and you can adjust the hot tub via an LED display. The insulated cover helps regulate temperature and has a safety lock.
One of the best things that inflatable hot tubs come with is excellent flexibility. As a matter of fact, they are not only flexible, you can very easily break it down and move it absolutely anywhere you would like, either in or out of your yard. You not only have to choose between a solid, portable, above ground hot tub model or the in ground model anymore, now there is a better option to buy. If you also consider the inflatable hot tub ratings you will know how much people are enjoying them.
Have you been wondering whether you should invest in a portable hot tub with water jets? We’ve been looking at the SaluSpa Hawaii HydroJet which offers water jets as well as bubble jets so you can get the best of both worlds. We thought we would give you an overview of this hot tub and give you a list of pros and cons so that you can decide whether it might be the best portable hot tub for you. Read our full product review here.
One of our friends actually thought of a practical way of circumventing this shortcoming. They live in New York but are still able to use it during winter. Their technique is to use it indoors. They have a spare room in their house dedicated to their portable hot tub. It’s one great way of taking advantage of an inflatable spa’s portability as they would relocate it again outside when winter is over.
An inflatable hot tub is made of several layers of thick, strong and solid vinyl rubber. The rubber becomes inflexible when completely inflated; thus, providing genuine and reliable protection. The materials used in the manufacture of inflatable hot tubs are tough, sturdy and long-lasting. You can expect it to withstand rowdy water play, jabs, appalling weather, and the accumulation of debris.

Another maintenance task that you should perform quite often, more precisely every time you use the tub or once per week in case you do not use it that often is to sanitize the water. To do this, you must pour a sanitizing solution into the tub, a solution that you buy from specialty stores. When it comes to the amount of solution that you should pour into the tub, you must follow the instructions given on the package of the sanitizer as the amount differs from one tub to another.

An inflatable hot tub, to state the obvious, is filled with air and air is actually a very very good insulator. Think about double glazed windows. What makes them effective is a layer of air. We have already noted earlier that inflatable hot tubs have thick sidewalls, up to 10 inches thick. This actually provides great thermal protection from heat loss on the sides. Couple this fact with some insulation underneath the hot tub and a decent cover and you have a hot tub that is reasonably well protected from heat loss. Not as good as more expensive models but not to shabby either and one that can certainly be managed.
And since you will be using the same water for a long while, all the best models come with a chemical floater dispenser which will treat the water and block the formation of algae deposits. All inflatable hot tubs come with the pump system to inflate the set, and all that is automated, so all you have to do is connect the tubes and let it inflate by itself. These hot tubs also are designed with an electrical controller to set all adjustments of water temperature, stirring and filtering for the amount of time you wish.
So like we touched on already, the main safety feature is a cover. This cover provides more than just a source of keeping the heat in and the dirt out, but it is for safety. With an inflatable hot tub, most will come with an inflatable locking top. The top will be sturdy and will be strong enough to stand on when properly in place and locked, although we don’t recommend dancing on top of it.
An inflatable spa & hot tub is a type of movable hot spa which is transportable, less space-consuming than normal options, and produced from substances which are significantly less hard compared to standing types. Just like various other inflatable products and equipment, it is usually inflated employing an air pump, which might likewise be able to extract the air out from the hot spa tub when it's time for you to store the product.
Costs: for sure the first eye popping benefit of an inflatable set like this is how affordable they are. As we said in the beginning of our guide, an inflatable hot tub can cost 80% less than traditional hot tubs, firstly because the material are not as expensive and second, because you will not need to set up a building site inside your house to built-in the tub in a specific location. Traditional hot tubs also require permanent pipe connections and electrical wiring, so if something goes wrong you have to open up walls, leading to more expenses. For very few investment you can get a hot tub at your place and set a social gathering with your friends or family.
The main reason people are put off by owning their own hot tub is not only the cost of the hot tub but also the cost of installation. The benefit of a portable hot tub is that the cost is much lower so it makes it more affordable to people. This Hawaii hot tub comes in at a higher price than other inflatable hot tubs like the Coleman Lay Z Spa partly because of the water jets and partly because of the salt chlorinating system. If these are important features for you then you can still get it for under $900.

With its digital control panel is located within your reach, you can easily regulate the temperature without having to get out of the hot tub.  It can automatically be started and timed to a certain duration for it to automatically stop. It’s a pretty convenient feature so your sore muscles will be pampered without interference. Plus, supplies include a filtration system and chemical floater that will guarantee you a safe and clean spa experience. Correct usage of these inclusions can be found in the instructional DVD. Everything you need to set up this inflatable hot tub is found in its package.

In-ground or custom styles are usually referred to as spas. They can be attached or adjacent to an in-ground swimming pool and are often placed near each other as a warm water and cold plunge-type of therapeutic experience. Others are stand-alone hot tubs, but set into the ground or custom built. Some are sturdy portable models (not inflatable) from top manufacturers that are installed to look like they are custom-built in-ground models that can be positioned upon a raised platform, sometimes under a pergola or a gazebo. Others actually are custom built and constructed of the same materials that pools are made of, like concrete, fiberglass, or gunite, along with stainless steel, tile, or copper.
I used my index lifespan for 4 months without any issues. The only time it stopped working was when I got an error message saying no water flow. I changed the filters out and never had a problem again. It did loose some air one night when the temp got to 37 days one night. I put some air in it the next day and it never lost air again. I love this spa! Its worth every penny. Now let’s see how the 2nd season goes. I’m setting it up May 1at. I will let you know how it does.
Materials: While most models make use of the same kind of fabric formula, you must check carefully how the fabric works for the set. How many layers? Does it work with a chamber system? It is water proof? Easy to clean? The outer fabric is soft or rigid? The materials used for the inner part and the outer part are often quite different and you have to be likewise careful to do not pick models that have a way too soft plastic for the pool/inner part.

The pump and the hot tub are easy to connect together but you need it to be simple to use while you are in the tub. All the controls are press button, and they are set in a circular style display with a led display in the centre. From the top left there is an auto-lock button which activates in 5 minutes, to release press for 3 seconds. Next is the timer button so you can decide when you want the heater to come on and you can also set the temperature. You have a filter button to turn the filter on and off, a light shows when it is on, you have the option to display the heat in Celsius or Fahrenheit and then there is a heater button to start the heating function, the temperature can be adjusted with the arrow buttons but most people heat it to the maximum 104F. Finally you have the bubble massage button which when pressed automatically turns off the heater. All of these buttons can be accessed from when you are seated in the tub.

Size – The first thing to look into when buying an inflatable hot tub is how big it is. We aren’t necessarily talking about the overall size of the tub itself but also the number of people it can fit without causing them any discomfort. Usually, these tubs can hold anywhere between two and eight people depending on price, build type, and inbuilt features. Needless to say, the bigger the tub is the more you can expect to pay for one, not to mention how pricey the maintenance can be.
Portable hot tubs either need to be dissembled to move or have to be moved as a whole, which can be a really big pain. If it can’t be dissembled, moving it even twice a year can turn into an all-day affair. Moving an inflatable hot tub isn’t an issue, and deflating it and inflating it again in the new location is all part of the quirks. Since it is moved so often, the material is made to be tough to withstand a lot of the bumps and bruises that the portable model would get when being moved from place to place. Rips, tears and any type of damage that would poke a hole is minimized if proper maintenance and handling instructions are followed.
This is where the portable hot tub may have a problem if it isn’t the type that can be dissembled. Carrying around a full sized hot tub to a new location in or around your home is not fun if you can’t break it down into smaller pieces. There will also be places that no matter what you do, it will never be able to go. This can be avoided by purchasing an inflatable system or a portable system that can be taken apart easily.
When using a hot tub you need to use chemicals to keep the water safe from microorganisms that can make you ill. You can use chlorine or bromine for this but with a salt water chlorinating system in your tub it uses salt that you add to the water and turns it into chlorine by passing it over an electrolytic cell. The benefits of this come in the feel of the water which feels softer on the skin and leaves you feeling refreshed, the cost of the salt which will probably be cheaper than the chemicals. You still have to check your water for the chlorine levels but you won’t need to keep chemicals around as the chlorine in the water is naturally produced and doesn’t smell quite bad. You just add salt to the water and switch on the chlorinator until the levels match the suggested numbers in the manual provided.
The Lay-Z-Spa comes with a fitted top cover, made of the same green faux-leather material that covers the outside of the tub. A foil lining helps the top cover to better retain heat, and an inflatable disc sits atop the tub, underneath the fitted cover. Around the outside of the tub you’ll find several clips to secure the cover, as well as built-in handles for repositioning the inflated tub before filling it with water.
I bought the deluxe bubble / jet version and it's impressive. But the first week I had it I noticed the spa was losing air slowly and I had to top it off with air every day. I called intex support and they shipped me a replacement tub. It arrived in less than one week. The new one works great so far. I had a great support experience from Intex. Maybe they've made some improvements.

What ever you call them, when you place enough of them together you do get some power and you will experience a pleasant light massaging effect. Most inflatable spas have somewhere between 100 and 120 bubble jets. That much air does produce some energy. The water fills with air and seems to increase in volume as the bubbles charge towards the surface.
There are numerous advantages and just as many disadvantages that one has to consider while looking to purchase an inflatable hot tub. Their specific situation, how and when they intend to use the hot tub as well as their specific taste will help them come to a decision. Below are some tips to consider before you make your final decision to buy or not.
The Canadian Spa Company is one of the most renowned and respected brands on the market. In 2015, this global brand has even won the Best of Class Award, this title being deserved due to the high-end hot tubs that they have delivered to customers. Looks like a kiddie pool. Inflatable hot tubs don't have the range of features found on molded above-ground spas. Most don't even include seats, so users must sit directly on the floor with little room for their feet. Some models have rigid sides that snap into place to give the tub more structure, but others just look like a giant, tub-shaped balloon. Owners choose inflatable hot tubs for their low price and convenience, not their looks.

The Intex PureSpa Portable Bubble is a more expensive option than the Coleman hot tub and not as highly rated by our testers. It does feature an insulated lid and lock. This ensures added safety and the heat loss is also reduced. A family of four can fit in the tub comfortably. The hot tub comes with various accessories including heating system, 2 filter cartridges, a three-way test strip, inflation hose, a thermal cloth for the ground and a carry bag. The Intex hot tub also has a capacity of 210 gallons of water.
. Although it's a company that has been around since the 1950s, when it started making pumps that could be submerged in bathtubs, people often use the word to describe a spa or hot tub, even if it's another brand. All describe a large tub that is used for relaxation, hydrotherapy, warmth, and entertaining. All are equipped with built-in jets for targeting bathers' sore muscles.
The soft but non flimsiness of inflatable hot tubs may be a hit or miss depending on the consumer. But a lot of people who have sat in $6000+ hot tubs have actually preferred the softer feel of inflatable tubs to the concrete, plastic and other mashups of portable hot tubs. Inflatable hot tubs are soft but firm, and really provide a relaxing feel compared to portable hot tubs. This is of course based on individual tastes, so take that with a grain of salt. Inflatable hot tubs also inflate and deflate pretty quickly, so that is less time waiting around for it to reach max capacity so you can start filling it with water. But portable hot tubs don’t have this waiting period at all, and if you’re the type that is in a rush that extra time it takes to inflate can really make a difference.
The inflatable spa offers a number of desirable features. An inflation hose makes it easy to inflate your hot tub when you set it up, and a built-in hard water treatment system filters out calcium and other minerals for a more smooth, relaxing soak. The experience is further enhanced by 130 massaging jets which can be activated via the handy, easy-access control panel at the side of the hot tub.
To ensure that the water inside the tub will be kept clean even when you are not using it, it comes with a leather cover and it features safety lock clips that you can use to insulate it. Additionally, setting it up is a hassle-free operation which does not require the use of tools, meaning that in a matter of minutes you will be able to start soaking in the tub and relax.

This is the best $360 we've ever spent. We use it once or twice a day since we got it 2 months ago. So... it took about 15 hours to heat up to 104 degrees to start things off. To save money on electricity we turn it off after our last use for the day,,, around 5pm,, leaving only the water circulating on. Then when we get up 5/6am we turn the heater back on and it's ready to go at 104 degrees around 3pm that afternoon. Since I've never had a spa or pool before that I had to maintain chemical balances, that was a little confusing until we educated ourselves. There is an automatic run time clock on the unit but I've never taken the time to learn how to use it. Assembly,,, was easy but I wish I had a video to watch (I learned a lot ... full review
