One of the major perks of having your own portable hot tub is its mobility and easy installation. Unlike the regular ones, having an inflatable spa does not consume a permanent space because you can easily wrap it up and set aside. You can have it stored out in your backyard on a sunny day, or pack it up and take it inside during winter. And how can we forget taking this fun little amusement on vacations and weekend getaways? I mean, blow-up hot tubs can really be your best friend.
Our number one choice is the Coleman Inflatable Tub. It's reasonably priced, fits four to six adults and offers better quality than the other two choices. However, you've been given the details- the good, the bad and the ugly- on each hot tub. It's up to you to determine which hot tub best suits your situation and lifestyle. Happy portable hot tub hunting, and we hope that you find the one that fits you the best.
Hot tubs also offer several different designs and styles of seats. Some hot tubs have ergonomic seats that can fit the height and build of each person. It is useful in targeting specific areas of the body that needs to be massaged. Today, it can be made in both indoors and outdoors, both fixed and portable due to new high-quality laminate materials.
The Design – The design of this product is something else that is worth mentioning – it has one of the coolest spa designs currently on the market. With a dimension of 70 x 66 x 29 inches, there is more than enough seating. Due to the deeper seating, the spa is more comfortable. The spa also comes with a high-quality cover and the air mixing valves make for a soothing massage.
The exterior is made from a specially coated fabric that is suited to withstand the outdoor elements. It is the classic Coleman-brand green. (This is usually their hallmark color for many of their products.) It also comes with a green fabric cover that is lined with aluminum material. The aluminum coating serves to keep the water warm while you’re waiting to jump in.

This square-shaped tub in which you and up to other 5 friends can have fun and relax whenever you want to is our top pick not only due to its generous capacity, but due to the durable construction it boasts which ensures you are making a long-lasting investment. It comes with a 22-foot long power cord that eliminates the need for extension cords, and the easy assembly only requires for you to inflate and start using it. It comes with all the accessories you could ever need, including a cover that helps keep the water clean when it isn’t in use, a chemical floater where you can add water-cleansing chemicals, and two filter cartridges that tend to the elimination of impurities to ensure you won’t sit in contaminated water.
This means that you can sit on the edges and they will not change shape under your weight. Also, the floor is air pad-cushioned so you will enjoy a soft sitting surface no matter where you place it. Six adults can fit in this hot tub that can hold 260 gallons of water and measures 77 inches in diameter and 26 inches in height. It comes with a pump that inflates it in a few minutes and a control panel that allows you to set the water temperature to up to 104 degrees F.
However, two details must be taken into consideration here to purchase a good seat: the weight and the build of the seat. Some brands manufacture quite flawed inflatable seats. They have been proved inefficient as they will float back to the surface or will move all the time with the strength of the jet streams. You have to consider specially heavy pillow seats that are immersible.
Well I got my 6 person Paris spa. I set it up and after doing so I realized that their is no way It will fit 6 adult people like they state. It will fit 2 people sitting side by side with your legs stretched out. You could fit 3 or maybe 4 people if they sit cross legged but that's it. The instructions are OK but not super great. I also used foam square interlocking mats as extra padding on the bottom.
Since it makes use outside air, the temperature may affect that of the water. The colder it is outside, the more noticeable the decrease in the water’s temperature. In worse cases, it is not a sudden drop but more of a gradual process as the bubble jets continue to run. We have yet to see an inflatable spa with heated bubble jets. Once that becomes available, you’ll definitely find it here first.
Many customers that gave the Coleman a one star review stated that the heater either stopped working or didn't work very well. Several customers complained that the water temperature dropped instantly once the bubbles were activated. As long as they didn't activate the bubbles, the water remained heated. Other customers were disappointed that the rapid heating system didn't mean for instant hot water. They didn't like that it took 24-72 hours for the water to heat up to 104 degrees Fahrenheit.
Most portable hot tubs don’t come with seats included, they are available as accessories but it is an added cost. This spa is 26 inches deep as isn’t filled to the top, for most adults this might not be a problem unless you are not very tall where the height of the water may be a little uncomfortable. You can buy seats for in the spa to raise your height and they are good for kids too.

The heater once turned on, heats up the water at a rate of 2 degrees per hour. You can set the temperature beforehand, leave it overnight or during the day while you’re at work, then come home and soak in your desired water temperature. As with other models, this Intex portable spa comes with an insulated cover to keep the water clean while not in use. The cover also helps to keep the heat in until the time you decide to soak.
Usually costing around $4,000 to $9,000 depending on type and size and location to be installed. But going the inflatable spa way will run you around $500, with no setup costs. And if you will only be using it part of the year, you simply deflate it and store it away. There are no costs of maintaining it to keep it from looking like something that the creature from the black lagoon would like to hide out in. Oh, and did we mention, to heat it up and keep it heated will run around $8-$12 a month depending on your electricity prices per kWh.
