Things to know. The temp goes up to 104 degrees. The jets have a timer with 20 minutes on and then 10 minutes off before you can restart them again. As seen in other reviews, it does lose temp during the jet sessions, but to my experience, it loses about 2 degrees per twenty minute session. I usually keep mine at 102 degrees and after 2 sessions (plus the 10 minute wait in between), the temp decreases to about 98 degrees - which works fine for me. I have found that 104 is way too hot, so the 98-102 range is perfect. This unit ... full review
And since you will be using the same water for a long while, all the best models come with a chemical floater dispenser which will treat the water and block the formation of algae deposits. All inflatable hot tubs come with the pump system to inflate the set, and all that is automated, so all you have to do is connect the tubes and let it inflate by itself. These hot tubs also are designed with an electrical controller to set all adjustments of water temperature, stirring and filtering for the amount of time you wish.

Another maintenance task that you should perform quite often, more precisely every time you use the tub or once per week in case you do not use it that often is to sanitize the water. To do this, you must pour a sanitizing solution into the tub, a solution that you buy from specialty stores. When it comes to the amount of solution that you should pour into the tub, you must follow the instructions given on the package of the sanitizer as the amount differs from one tub to another.

Like most of the portable hot tubs that are available to buy you can’t usually use the heater and the bubbles or the jets at the same time. The bubbles have a 30 minutes run time and the jets have a 60 minute run time and in that time the temperature of the water can drop a few degrees because of the cold air bubbling through the water. There’s less heat loss with the water jets. The heater can be switched back on straight afterwards.

These Lay-Z-Spas are great for your health and relaxation. Relaxing in one of the hot tubs can help you melt the stress away from a hard days work. Or after you workout at the gym. They help in the recovery of muscle strain while lifting weights. You will recover from lactic acid build-up, this is when your muscles ache the next day or even a few hour after training. Jump into your Lay-Z-Spa as soon as you can will help reduce the lactic acid build-up and you will feel great as well.
After a resting night’s sleep, you feel better, more energized, and capable of confronting any task thrown your way. Also, a resting night’s sleep ensures the proper function of your organs, meaning that your health will have a lot to benefit if you get about 8 hours of quality sleep each night. But not all of us can enjoy the quality night’s sleep that we need, generally, mild insomnia being to blame for this occurrence. In case you are one of the people who have this problem, you should know that sitting in the hot water will help you fall asleep faster and wake up feeling rested. This is all due to the fact that the stress you are dealing with will be reduced, and your mind won’t be so crowded when night comes and it is time to hit the sack.
Maybe it’s most annoying feature is that it seems to shut off automatically after 72 hours. So you have to reset it every few days. But other than that, it’s fine. It offers the very basic service of an inflatable hot tub, and you get the soothing bubbles as a bonus. The comparatively fast heating system is also a treat, especially with a tub this cheap. It’s one of the best inflatable hot tub models you can get at this price range.
The benefits from owning a hot tub are infinite. A hot tub can be used to relieve pain; unwind from a long and stressful day; to spend time with family and friends; and much more. Stationary spa owners are tied to one location and cannot fully enjoy their hot tub. With a Softub spa, however, you are bound by nothing. Whether you choose to relocate your portable hot tub in your home, or if you change residencies, it can easily be done worry free.
We have been reviewing inflatable hot tubs since 2015. In that time we have spent more than 40 hours researching them to find the best portable hot tubs on the market. The best hot tub we found was the Coleman Lay-Z-Spa 54131E. The Coleman hot tub is attractive and built for durability with a synthetic leather exterior, polyester-mesh-enforced PVC walls and vertical beams to prevent it from buckling and bending after repeated use. It has 120 bubble jets and can heat to 104 degrees Fahrenheit, and it can fit up to six adults.

The price is a marvel, and it’s very democratic. What it really means is that the inflatable hot tub experience is really no long exclusive for the well-off. How long will it take you to save $400 for a tub? Probably not all that long, right. And it doesn’t add much to your electricity bill, with some people saying it will add about $80 to you monthly electricity expenses. That’s for keeping it ready every day!

When referenced in films, TV, or social media, or pop culture, it's more often a hot tub we hear about than the more sophisticated sounding spa. If athletes are captured on social media cavorting after hours, it's in a hot tub, not a spa. Remember the old sketches on Saturday Night Live with Will Ferrell and Rachel Dratch as the "hot tub luh-vahs"? They often hung out at the Welshley Arms Motel's hot tub, where they would harass other guests with their psuedo-intellectual conversations and disgusting meat snacks. And the film Hot Tub Time Machine would never have had the same appeal as Spa Time Machine. Deep stuff to ponder next time you soak in your hot tub. Or spa.
Easy to install, but a few quirks. An inflatable hot tub is the easiest kind to set up and install. When deflated, you can carry it anywhere, then simply inflate it, fill it up and plug it in. However, the water may take a while to come up to temperature (days, in fact, some reviewers say) and may lose heat rapidly during use. That's because inflatable tubs generally use air jets in place of hot-water jets, and the airflow cools the water. Some users also complain that the air blowers are noisy. Unlike other hot tubs, however, this type is truly portable. You can even take it with you on vacation, but the hassle of emptying and refilling the spa may be a consideration.
I bought the deluxe bubble / jet version and it's impressive. But the first week I had it I noticed the spa was losing air slowly and I had to top it off with air every day. I called intex support and they shipped me a replacement tub. It arrived in less than one week. The new one works great so far. I had a great support experience from Intex. Maybe they've made some improvements.
The Bestway Lay-Z-Spa Monaco is a top of the range, luxury inflatable hot tub which can fit up to 8. When inflated, the spa's walls are completely rigid, as you would expect with a permanent tub. The drop stitch design also makes the walls extremely durable, for use over and over again. No matter how many times you inflate and deflate it, it won't leak.
The Pump in the AirJet is designed at such a place that it becomes easier for you to reach it while still in the tub so that you will not have to be interrupted in the middle. The pump actually has a Heater combined with it to serve Warm Water without making any of extra sound. So as the pump is placed near to you, it was necessary for them to take care of the noise made by the pump and believe me when I say pump makes the least noise possible giving you the best experience.
Once you have the water in you’re ready to heat it up. The digital control panel included with the Coleman Saluspa is easy to use with an automatic start/stop timer-controlled heating system. With a single press of the button to unlock the controls press the heat button to start the heating process press the arrow button to set the temperature required. Place the cover over the tub as that will keep the heat in.

Paris is a circle-shaped Lay-Z-Spa inflatable hot tub, and while it accommodates freely 6 people, it doesn’t include the beach alike set of extra features. The water filtration system here is the standard for tubs, filtering impurities and keeping the water bacteria free, so it will not suit well an implementation by the beach as the system can deteriorate over time. Paris is ideal for pool side, urban ambients, and one of its exclusive features is the set of LED lights to make it even more pleasant and cosy for social gathering by the night during your pool party.
We hope that we have given you some information that will help you in your decision to purchase an inflatable or hard hot tub. Before you get into the tub, shower and remove any body lotions, deodorants, perfume, make up and of course, get into the tub with your body properly hygienized and clean. Most of the contaminants of the water are solutions that come from your skin, from natural oil to all these toiletries that must be removed. If the model you are not purchasing doesn’t include a cover, buy one to keep the tub properly closed and avoid the contamination with external debris and insects. Cover the tub everytime after use.
Slow To Heat – These have electric heaters and not gas like the in ground or acrylic may have. The rule of thumb is to expect about one hour wait time for every 2 to 3 degree rise in temperature. So if you don’t plan to keep it on all week, start heating it up Saturday morning or Friday night for the weekend. But this is also a money saver since these spas need much less water and have awesome insulation you could keep it heated at all times for pennies more. Or be a diligent saver and only heat it up when you know you want to use it. Just give yourself some head-start time.
